1. Coconut Water

3. Ginger

You can add a pinch of cinnamon powder on a teaspoonful of honey or water and drink it after meals. If you suffer from gas regularly, drink a cup of cinnamon tea with your breakfast every day or after your first meal. To make cinnamon tea, add ¼ to ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a cup of water. Let it come to a boil before steeping it for a few minutes. Strain and drink this tea twice or thrice a day when suffering from gas.

6. Buttermilk (Chaas)

Buttermilk is a cooling drink that not only gets rid of the excess gas in the stomach but also calms the stomach. Drinking buttermilk after meals aids digestion because it is packed with probiotic bacteria that are good for gut health. Lactic acid in buttermilk also improves digestion and thus, helps you to cure gas at home. Drink a glass of buttermilk every day after meals, if you suffer from gas regularly.

You can either drink it plain with a pinch of salt or you can add a few spices to make the remedy more effective and also delicious. Add fenugreek paste (mix ½ tsp. of grinded fenugreek or methi seeds with a little water) to a glass of buttermilk. Drink it throughout the day to get relief. If you find methi too bitter for you, add black pepper powder (roasted and ground in a mortar and pestle) or coriander leaves to buttermilk and enjoy it with your meals.
